ClearShield® Keeps Glass Looking Fit and Healthy at Raipur Gym!

The recently-opened Anytime Fitness Gym in Choubey Colony, Raipur, India, is yet another beneficiary of the ClearShield Eco-System®.

Roshnak Surface Care Systems is an official applicator of the ClearShield Eco-System®, developed for the renovation, ‘non-stick’ protection and maintenance of glass. The System converts any ordinary glass to superior easy-clean ClearShield Eco-Glass®. Roshnak carried out a factory application to 150m² (1,600ft²) of façade glass as well as internal glass, including mirrors.

ClearShield Eco-Glass® is always easier to clean and keep clean and will look pristine for longer compared to ordinary, unprotected glass. For exterior glass, ClearShield Eco-Glass® comes into its own; its ‘non-stick’ surface means it will resist staining and discolouration, and any unsightly building run-off is easier to remove. When utilised for internal glass, ClearShield® resists fingermarks and general dirt for a pristine look that is easy to maintain. ClearShield® is also independently proven to resist the growth and adhesion of bacteria to promote a more hygienic environment. This is particularly important in today’s worrying times.

The owner of Anytime Fitness Gym, Mr Yash Khatri, says: “The gym is at the top floor of the building and cleaning the façade is a menace that needed dealing with. We asked for ClearShield Glass directly from the Glass Processing Facility [BK Glass Industries] and got it installed during construction so that it is protected from paint, silicone run offs, cement marks, etc. as well. I am also glad to see how pristine my shower glass and mirrors look. I recommend this easy-clean glass for any project with exterior or interior glass.”

ClearShield® Gives a Clearer View for Tolkienists!

The Hobbiton Movie Set was a location used for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy and The Hobbit film trilogy. It is situated almost 90 miles southeast of Auckland in Hinuera, New Zealand. The films are based on novels written by J. R. R. Tolkein and today the Hobbiton Movie Set is a ‘Tolkien tourism’ destination, offering a guided tour of the 5 hectare (12 acres) set.

Being on the international tourist map, Hobbiton Movie Set Tours was conscious of the Trip Advisor comments that criticised the state of the glass windows on their 13 tour coaches. Tourists were unable to see clearly out of the windows, let alone take photos. What was the cause?

In this rural environment, the only reliable source of water is from a borehole. This water contains high levels of minerals and is therefore aggressive to ordinary, unprotected glass when used to wash the coach windows. This eventually caused stubborn staining to the glass, making them difficult to see out of, resulting in the negative reviews. Standard cleaning regimes were unable to remove this heavily bonded staining so an effective long-term solution had to be found; they discovered ClearShield® ‘non-stick’ glass protection.

Peter and Heather Wavish of Specialist Glass Cleaning and Protection

Peter and Heather Wavish of Specialist Glass Cleaning and Protection (SGC) were contracted to carry out the work. They have many years’ experience using the Ritec ClearShield Eco-System®, particularly on glass in vehicles. The first stage was the specialist renovation of the existing glass, removing all of the staining and ensuring it was in an ‘as-new’ appearance. The next stage was to apply the durable and protective ‘non-stick’, easy-clean ClearShield® treatment to resist future staining and maintain the original clarity. SGC have also implemented a maintenance programme every six months to ensure the ClearShield® protection is performing to its best.

Thanks to Specialist Glass Cleaning and Protection and the ClearShield Eco-System®, negative comments on Trip Advisor about the coach windows have become a thing of the past. The pristine glass windows on all the tour coaches are fit for a Lord!
