Recoup your entire start up costs and make money from your first project with the ClearShield Eco-System™

Andy Broad has been discussing the return on investment with the ClearShield® ‘non-stick’ durable glass surface protection with one of Ritec’s new customers. After just 3 months of selling ClearShield Eco-Glass™ to their interior glass customer base, they have been happy to report that they have recouped their initial investment….with product to spare and are now moving into profit.

Not bad for a business that is fairly new to the glass processing business and certainly new to glass surface protection. The reasons for their success are open for discussion, but when they chose Ritec’s ClearShield®, they chose the market leading technology, that has real market value and proven performance.

Coupled to Ritec’s ongoing support for their customers with bespoke marketing messages, this is a strong business proposition for anyone in the glass industry. If you want to know how ClearShield® can deliver these profits to you, call Andy Broad at Ritec International.

Motorway service station owners avoid expensive glass replacement and reduce further maintenance costs thanks to the ClearShield Eco-System™

The Ritec team this week is very happy to be carrying out a renovation project on the glass canopy of a motorway service station on the M6 in Stafford.

The glass was badly stained and could no longer be cleaned effectively, resulting in an unsightly look. Using the proven ClearShield Eco-System™,  Ritec is restoring the glass to its original ‘as-new’ appearance and then protecting it with ClearShield® to resist staining and discolouration.

The owners made substantial cost savings too as replacing the glass would have cost 5 times as much. The treated surface will now be ‘non-stick’, easy-clean for easier and reduced maintenance in the future.

ClearShield Eco-System™ technology of choice to restore & durably protect glass on fleet of ferries in New Zealand

Experiencing dirty and stained glass surfaces on marine vessels that become virtually impossible to clean is a common problem. Fullers Ferries of New-Zealand were no strangers to it.

After running disappointing and unsuccessful trials with what is sometimes referred to as ‘nanotechnology’, they were approached by Brent Lewis of ClearShield Auckland in 2011 who brought them the solution they had been looking for. Over 4000m2 of glass on their entire fleet of 15 vessels have since been protected with the award-winning ClearShield® protection.

Mineral salts (sea spray) firmly bond to the surface of glass creating stains and making the cleaning process difficult if not impossible, time consuming, more frequent, and often yielding unsatisfactory results. This means higher cleaning costs and reduced visibility, impacting on passenger satisfaction, and sometimes reduced safety.

A very successful trial proved that not only did the ClearShield Eco-System™ restore the ‘as-new’ appearance of the glass without the need for very costly replacement, but it kept it that way year after year to the great satisfaction of passengers, crew and owners alike. The result was uninterrupted clear views for the passengers, greater safety on-board, lower costs and an improved presentation for the Fullers Fleet. In addition, ClearShield® protected glass does not require harsh cleaning agents, for a better environment.

Fullers Ferries certainly care for their passengers and for the environment. They initially contracted ClearShield Auckland to restore and protect all of their 15 ferries. In order to further reduce crew time requirements for the maintenance of glass, the contract was then extended to include yearly maintenance. In 2013, Easy Clean Glass Ltd took over the contract and successfully retained it through continuous astounding service and detail by its director, Trent Harrison.

Ritec, developers and manufacturers of the ClearShield Eco-System™, send their sincere congratulations to ClearShield Auckland and Easy Clean Glass Ltd for their professionalism and expertise. If you are also experiencing difficult maintenance and visibility on marine glass on cruiseships, ferries or super yachts, contact us now to discuss how we or our network of global partners can offer you a true and durable solution avoiding the cost of replacing the glass.
